The  scientific that save the world

Maria Salomea Curie better known as Marie Curie or Madame Curie, was a French Nationalized Polish physicist and chemist. A pioneer in the field of radioactivity, she was the first person to receive two Nobel Prizes in different specialties: Physics and Chemistry.

As a child she was the youngest of five siblings. His father taught math and physics at a boys' high school. When Marie was born, the part of Poland where her family lived was ruled by the Russian emanate. Marie father lost his job in 1873 because he supported Polish independence.

After obtaining the second title, his next challenge was the doctorate. The first step was choosing the topic of his thesis. After discussing it with her husband, she decided to work on the work of the physicist Henri Becquerel, who had discovered that uranium salts emitted rays of an unknown nature. This work was related to the recent discovery of X-rays by the physicist Wilhelm Röntgen , although the properties behind that phenomenon were not yet understood.

In conclusion, Marie Curie was an important scientist in the world since she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery of radioactive elements and was awarded a second Nobel, in Chemistry, for her research on radium and its compounds, and with this has helped many lives and discoveries of new cures.
